The vent was hot, hotter than she'd expected when they'd first crawled in from several levels above. So hot it was that Tara's palms were clammy, her torso and legs too dripping with sweat as she crawled along the surface of the cramped metal tunnel behind her sister. Oh god, what she would do for Kara's cooling ice gem right now, even her skimpy outfit not enough to keep the heat off.
